Jasper Jones Study Update

The Davis Centre Research branch is excited to share that our research on Kate Mulvany’s Jasper Jones is gaining national and international attention!

Our article “Towards Decolonising White Curricula: A Reflective Approach to Teaching Jasper Jones,” co-authored by Dr Demelza Hall, Kristin Leeds, Cassandra Christensen, Christina Martini, and former GYC staff member Amanda Moran, has already been viewed 352 times across multiple countries.

This research, which began in 2022 as a collaboration between the Davis Centre and the English faculty, started with an exclusive interview with Mulvany. Her insights have helped students connect more deeply with the play, shaping new approaches to literature in our classrooms.
