Parents and Carers of all students new to GYC in 2025 are warmly invited to attend our Parent Information Evening.

Come and meet your child’s Home Room teacher, hear important information regarding procedures and expectations, and learn about GYC's new Learning Management System CET Connect.

The event will be held simultaneously in Hobart (Assembly Hall) and Glenorchy (Don Bosco Theatre) on your child's home campus. We’d love to see you there!

Official College Photos can now be ordered via MSP Photography and online ordering is easy;

1. Visit the MSP Photography website OR Download the MSP App via the Google Play or Apple App Store.

2. Select ‘Sign in with Student Details’

3. Enter your child’s surname and date of birth. You will be prompted to create an account. Once logged in, you will be able to add extra children and order family photos.

Formal Uniform Reminder

We're pleased with the overall response to the change to formal uniform as our default uniform at GYC with many students doing the right thing.

Students are strongly encouraged to check.

1. Is your school skirt the correct length? Skirts need to be conservative in length; this means just above the knee. Skirts are not to be rolled at the waist band. If this is you, please have this fixed ASAP.

2. Are your wearing the correct shoes? You are not permitted to wear your formal uniform with sneakers or street shoes. Please wear black, lace up school shoes.

3. Too much jewellery? You may wear simple, modest and discreet jewellery that is culturally appropriate, providing it does not clash or conflict with the Guilford Young College uniform.
