Guilford Young College will host an AFL spectacular at Kingston’s Twin Ovals next Tuesday evening.

Although the College did not participate in the SATIS AFL competition this year due to roster changes, interest in and involvement with AFL remains very strong within the College.

A large number of students compete at the club level while several are making their mark ase State players and a couple are in contention for the AFL draft (2018 and 2019).

An AFL spectacular between current students and former students will be played next Tuesday.

Organiser Mr Blair Brownless said that already more than 30 former students from 2016 and 2017 would participate as players or assistants.

The game will be held on Tuesday 21 August, starting at 5pm. There will be four 20 minute quarters and the electronic scoreboard will be used.

Mr Brownless said that it would be a great game, made better with a large crowd.

All interested people –  especially former and current members of the GYC community – are warmly invited to attend.
