Although Guilford Young College did not compete in the SATIS AFL competition this year, five students were named in the Tasmanian SATIS team to play in Melbourne last weekend.

Harry Burgess, Patrick Kelly, Jacob Banks, Lachlan Gadomski (co-captain) and Luke Swinton made the trip of play an Association Public Schools (APS) represetative team at Trinity Grammar Sports Complex, Bulleen, on Saturday.

The game was much closer than the final scoreline –  12.7.79 to 7.10.52 – suggests. At three-quarter time, the Tasmanian team was only a goal behind. However, according to GYC Director of Organisation and SATIS coach Blair Brownless, the home team was too good in the last quarter.
