Masquerade – Tasmanian premiere

MacKillop Catholic College has teamed up with CanTeen as it brings to Tasmania for the first time the innovative and entertaining play, Masquerade. The world of intricate art, hidden clues and magical characters found in the children’s picture book, Masquerade, brightened a childhood marred by illness for Australian playwright Kate Mulvany. Many years later, with the author’s blessing, the children’s classic received a new lease of life as Mulvany penned a play based on the book. She has woven her own childhood story…

Find out what a pharmacist does and why it is such an important job. Pharmacists also work in hospitals, in the community, on the road and even behind the scenes in areas of drug research. Focus Day is a terrific opportunity for students to enjoy a day of friendship, engagement; it is a day where a real sense of belonging to our community is enabled. Focus Day is a part of College life at GYC and it is expected that all students will attend. Students should wear plain, appropriate clothes. For Year 11s, it will be a regular school day. Their Focus Day was held at the end of Term 1.

The annual College Colours Cocktail Party will be hosted this year by the Old Virgilians Association (celebrating 100 years) and St Michael’s Collegiate Old Schools Association (celebrating 125 years) at Guilford Young College.
